Due to a lack of regulation, the United States Food and Drug Administration has not been updated since 1938!! That means the FDA allows cosmetic and personal care companies to use toxic chemicals that are known to be harmful. We’re talking about chemicals linked to cancer, endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, developmental toxicity, immunotoxicity, organ toxicity, neurotoxicity, and many other health concerns. Unless you carefully read labels, these ingredients are most likely hiding in the products in your home right now. When it comes to toxic ingredients, Crunchi has opened my eyes and raised my standards to an even higher level.
The list of ingredients to avoid was used and shared with friends and family when looking for not only beauty products but all personal care products for the entire family. If it isn’t safe to use in my makeup and skincare, then it’s not allowed in my household products either.
I am sharing this with you because I want you all to be informed, feel confident, and have the knowledge to read labels. That is why I am passionate and have it as my goal to make this easier for you to do so! As always, I’m happy to help in any way I can. Use this list as a cheat sheet when looking for safer and cleaner brands. May I recommend saving it to your phone, printing it for your home, keeping a copy in your wallet or purse, and of course, sharing it with your loved ones so they can be informed as well!
Something to keep in mind, there are thousands of toxic ingredients not listed here that I wouldn’t use. This is just an easy-to-reference condensed list of the most commonly used ones found in beauty and personal care products. When you know better, you do better!
